Privacy notice

How PaidIn handles personal data. This is the pilot version, in plain English.

Who we are

PaidIn is invoicing software used by tradespeople in Ireland to send quotes and invoices and take payment. When a tradesperson uses PaidIn to invoice you, they are the data controller for your details; PaidIn processes that data on their behalf.

What we store

  • Business details of the tradesperson (name, address, VAT number, logo).
  • Customer details they enter to invoice you (name, email, phone, address, Eircode, and a VAT number for business customers).
  • The quotes, invoices, line items, payments and receipts themselves.
  • Basic activity — when a document was sent, opened, paid or chased.

Payments

Card payments are handled by Stripe. PaidIn never sees or stores your full card number — Stripe processes the payment and tells PaidIn only that it succeeded, the amount, and a reference. See stripe.com/privacy.

Where your data lives

All data is stored in the European Union (Ireland). Email is sent via Resend; the app is hosted on Vercel with servers in Dublin. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

Your rights

Under GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. A tradesperson using PaidIn can export a full copy of their business data from Settings at any time. For any request about data held about you, contact the tradesperson who invoiced you, or email us and we will help route it.

How long we keep it

Financial records (invoices, payments, receipts) are kept for as long as Irish tax law requires. Other data is kept while the account is active and removed on request, subject to those legal retention rules.

This is pilot software. This notice will be expanded before general release. Last updated August 2026.
